Application Recommendations
In actual projects, these standards are used in combination. For example, for a typical international subsea pipeline project, its technical specification may be quoted as follows:
Steel pipes shall comply with API 5L PSL2, but supplementary requirements shall be implemented according to DNV-ST-F101. The pipeline design shall comply with DNV-ST-F101, the welding procedure qualification shall comply with API 1104, the external anticorrosive coating shall be 3LPE, which shall meet ISO 21809-1. Since the transmission medium contains HS, the material must comply with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156. ”
