API 5L X60 (L415) spiral seam double-sided submerged arc welded steel pipe, designed specifically for long-distance oil and gas pipelines and high-pressure fluid transportation. X60 steel grade has a core index of yield strength of 415-565 MPa, while PSL2 grade has stricter requirements for chemical composition, impact toughness, and non-destructive testing, making it suitable for long-distance pipeline engineering with high pressure and high safety levels.

Hydrostatic Pressure Test Requirements (Mandatory Api 5l)
API 5L stipulates that each steel pipe must undergo hydrostatic pressure testing one by one, and batch sampling is not allowed.
Calculation formula for test pressure:
P=2×S×t/D
Among them: S=60% × SMYS (the SMYS of X60 is 415 MPa, so S=249 MPa)
X60 Calculation Example (36 "OD x 12.7mm WT):
P=2 × 249 × 12.7/914=approximately 6.92 MPa
Pressure holding time requirement:
OD<508mm: ≥ 5 seconds
OD ≥ 508mm: ≥ 10 seconds
The accuracy requirement for pressure gauges is ± 0.5% FS, and test records must be kept for at least 7 years and traceable to the furnace batch number of each tube.
